This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.

Under the direction of the Chief Financial Officer, you will assist with all aspects of Accounting with an emphasis on general ledger and accounts payable administration. You will manage and run the accounts payable process, make monthly journal entries, review financial statements and balance sheet accounts, prepare bank reconciliations, assist with fundraising tracking and reporting and will assist the CFO whenever deemed necessary.
You must have a Bachelors’s degree in Accounting or a minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting. YMCA certifications or experience related to accounting and office administration are a plus. You should understand the connection between the YMCA’s mission and purpose, and how these are accomplished through administrative operations.
You must have sound knowledge of accounting principles and procedures, payroll and accounts payable administration, journal entry preparation, reconciliations, and database experience, along with strong skills in problem-solving. You will be an important team player with respect to the organization’s mission, core values and vision statement.
$16.75 – $19.25 hourly; rate will vary depending on education and experience.
