Corporate Audit Summer Intern
Delta’s Corporate Audit department is responsible for delivering Delta’s Flight Plan (annual strategic goals) through innovative risk management and collaborative solutions to add value and enhance Delta’s operations. We are seeking an individual to join our team of auditors for a summer internship beginning June 2020. The intern may assist on a variety audits in finance, accounting, operations, and information technology. The intern will be an active member on project teams that identify opportunities for process and control improvements. Responsibilities may include:
Identifying and evaluating accounting, operating, compliance, technology risks and controls
Attending meetings and actively engaging with project teams and business stakeholders
Preparing project workpapers and documentation
Analyzing data
Leveraging technology to improve effectiveness and efficiency
Intern will have the opportunity to interact and network with leaders across Delta.
Ideal candidates will be progressing towards a Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance, Management Information Systems, or a Business related major. To be eligible, must be enrolled as a full time student (minimum 12 credit hours) and have completed a minimum of 48 credit hours (at application) and maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.0.
Additional skills required include:
Strong analytical and communication skills
Ability to work on unstructured projects with limited supervision and juggle multiple priorities
Proficiency in Microsoft applications, with emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint
Experience in other data-analytic tools and courses is a plus.
