Mayvin is seeking to hire a Financial Analyst II with excellent communication skills and a strong work ethic. This role will assist the Financial Services Division management and other staff members in all office activities and operations as assigned.
Must be a US Citizen to be considered for this position.
Must be able to pass a background Investigation (BI)
Responsibilities:
§ Processes financial documents and transactions using the Unified Financial Management System (UFMS).
§ Reviews accounting practices to ensure compliance with other Federal laws and regulations (e.g., Single Audit Act), generally accepted Government accounting practices, and relevant Office Management and Budget circulars.
§ Identifies corrective actions for improper or illegal expenditures and accounting funds.
§ Reviews and analyzes annual financial statements to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, program policies, and procedures.
§ Demonstrates proficiency in using Microsoft Excel spreadsheets, and word processing software, and general knowledge of financial statements.
Qualifications:
§ Four-year undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration
§ Three years of experience reviewing and analyzing annual financial statements ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, program policies, and procedures
§ Three years of experience in analyzing information and making recommendations
§ Three years of experience in budget execution during a fiscal year budget cycle
§ Three years of experience in preparing and presenting a status of funds for higher-level management
§ Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite with superior Excel skills (V-look up, Pivot Tables, etc.)
§ Excellent interpersonal skills
