Designed for rising college seniors, the PEAK6 2021 Product Management internship is a highly engaging summer program that will develop your product management and professional skills. You’ll work with a group of Product Managers, Engineering Teams, and Designers delivering web-based applications that power the robust PEAK6 trading platform. Our goal is to enable our end users (traders and trading support teams) to excel in service to our customers. You can expect to become a resource regarding our product strategy, roadmap and understand product goals and objectives that support trading activity.

What you’ll do all day:

• Learn and comprehend product prioritization and definition for PEAK6 Capital Management Products
• Gain an understanding of markets, competition and customer/user requirements in depth
• Build relationships with stakeholders and teams to help influence & drive successful outcomes
• Partner with Engineering team to help aid delivery
• Seek and curate a list of feedback and ideas for products
• Influence opportunities from discovery process to define and measure KPIs that evaluate performance of product suite against targeted outcomes
• Help manage the product backlog
• Test and validate features and product suite on an agile cadence
• Be mentored by a member of the team to help you reach your full potential

What you need to succeed:

• Junior standing in pursuit of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree graduating between December 2021 and June 2022
• Exceptional communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Microsoft Office proficiency
• Familiarity with product management practices
• Familiarity tracking and reporting on product performance metrics
• Interest in learning technologies that power our product solutions
• Interest in Trading & Financial industry is a bonus but not required
• Adherence to strict compliance policies and software development procedures
