What is the Opportunity:
SafeAuto knows what students look for in an internship experience – exposure to leadership, meaningful work assignments, and opportunities to gain real-world experience. You’ll get all that and more with SafeAuto’s Internship program. You will have the opportunity to closely engage with a team in your area of study to take your classroom learning to the next level. You’ll get meaningful career advice from our CEO and senior leaders to learn from our other departments about what makes SafeAuto unique. No need to invest in power suits just yet; if we return to working in the office, you’ll be able to take advantage of our casual dress code, but if we are still working from home you can wear whatever makes you feel most comfortable!
What You’ll be Doing:
You will be involved in interesting projects relevant to your major and receive coaching and feedback from professionals in your field. You’ll be able to work with HR experts to perfect your resume and improve your interviewing skills. There will be opportunities for socializing and network events throughout the summer. As a culmination of your internship, you’ll give a presentation to leadership to share your experience with us.
In this role, you will tap into your insatiable curiosity and ability to use analytics to creatively solve problems. We are a team of analysts who are always looking for new solutions to some of the business problems we encounter and we’re open to new ideas. Some of the projects you’d be involved with would be predictive modeling, pricing controls, and exposure to some actuarial work. You’ll work with other managers and analysts on coding and hone your reasoning and quantitative skills. You’ll gain experience learning about the insurance product and how we determine if we want to do business in new states. You’ll learn more about the product itself and the regulatory and legislative affairs that go behind insurance regulations.
What You Should Have to be Successful:
We are seeking intellectually curious undergraduate or graduate students who have completed two full years of their academic program and have maintained 3.0 GPA. We will select students who are majoring in the field of study relevant to the professional area. You must be able to legally work in the United States and pass the organization’s drug screening and background check prior to starting with us.
