Forté is a national foundation whose mission statement is to, “Launch women into fulfilling, significant careers through access to business education, professional development, and a community of successful women.” They offer a community of motivated, inspiring, diverse women that are transforming leadership in all business-related fields. Forté is supported by 54 of the leading MBA programs around the world, top undergraduate universities, and 50+ influential companies that are dedicated to promoting women in leadership. To read more about Forté as a whole foundation and their impact, check out their website: http://www.fortefoundation.org/site/PageServer?pagename=about

One focus of Forté is preparing undergraduate women to become career ready. Here at the University of Kentucky, we offer the UKY Forté Club (partnered with the national Forté foundation) as student organization available for undergraduate women to join for free! This club has multiple meetings a month including social events, professional development workshops, guest speakers, and more! Beyond the local chapter meetings, being a part of the Forté undergraduate network gives you access to opportunities through Forté nationals such as Ask Me Anything panels with employers and MBA programs, guest speakers, a career readiness program, and national conferences. The national conferences are a big part of what connect Forté members from across the country together and often a highlight of our members’ semester. Typically, there are multiple different conferences (e.g. Fast Track to Finance Conference, Women of Color Conference, College to Business Leadership Conference) offered in different cities each semester. Forté nationals offers travels stipends to women attending these conferences and UKY Forté club also often allows active members to apply for additional travel stipends.
