Job/Internship Postings & Promotion
Advertise your job and internship opportunities among our students and alumni. We share our Handshake system with the Stuckert Career Center. Postings sent to either office will be shared among all users. You are welcome to set specific criteria to manage the type of applications you receive. We advertise opportunities on our social media outlets and in our weekly newsletter and can provide a spotlight on your company if you are interested.
Recruitment Strategy Sessions
Develop a long-term strategy with your involvement at the Gatton College of Business and Economics. Together we can create a customized plan for the resources and events that will best meet your recruiting goals and branding strategy within the college.
Promotional Tabling Events
Build recognition of your company and opportunities by setting up a recruiting booth in our main lobby. This central space is frequented by students and provides an informal environment for making connections. Many companies will bring along give-a-ways to provide at the booth to encourage students to stop by between classes.
On Campus Interviews
Prescreen and select students to interview on campus as part of your initial interviewing process. Our office will help advertise the related jobs/internships and promote the schedule. The schedule and sign-ups is managed through our Handshake system.
Career Fairs
Attend career fairs held at the University of Kentucky to promote your brand and attract students for internships and full-time opportunities.
Classroom Presentations
Connect various lines of your business and opportunities with the business curriculum provided by our faculty. Our office can help facilitate inquiries with our faculty from business management, marketing, finance, accounting, or economics courses. Faculty are interested in hosting guest speakers within their classes to provide concrete examples of the content they are teaching students. Advanced planning and screening is necessary to insure the proper fit with the class and schedule.
Student Organization Visits
Collaborate with one of the student organizations within the Gatton College to host a meeting, provide a presentation, or participate in an event. Our office can facilitate inquires with the organization leadership to schedule visits. Examples of Gatton clubs include: Alpha Kappa Psi, Beta Alpha Psi, Accounting Club, Economics Society, Entrepreneurship Club, Investors Club, and the National Association of Black Accountants.
Resume Critiques and Mock Interview Events
Each semester we host events that help students prepare students for success in the recruiting process. RESUMANIA is an event focused on students receiving feedback on their resumes from employer guests who provide their perspective and tips. Mock interview events allow students to practice with employers for a more realistic interviewing environment. Both types of events assist students and employers to network during the early phases of the recruiting cycle.
Candidate Referrals
The better we know your corporate culture and values the more effective we can be in referring specific candidates to you. Our goal is to help promote your opportunities among our students and alumni and then follow up with making specific connections that meet your criteria.
Information Sessions
Host an informal presentation about your company and opportunities during the lunch hour. Students appreciate having lunch with recruiters and learning what they need to know about the hiring process. This format works well in combination with an outreach atrium visit or on-campus interview schedule.
