The COVID-19 pandemic has thrown a wrench in a lot of plans this year. Classes went online, internships were made virtual, study abroad programs were cut short, March Madness was canceled. The list could go on and on, but dwelling on these things won’t do anyone any good. Instead, it is important to focus on the silver linings that have come from this crazy year. One of those silver linings is the opportunity to gain international work experience without even picking up your passport.
Virtual global internships are an incredible way to work for an international company, gain real world experience, and make long lasting connections- all from the comfort of your home. You might be thinking, “okay but what’s the point?”. The point is that this experience is truly invaluable. The fact of the matter is, we are now living in a very virtual world. Learning to adapt to this change, and better yet, learning to excel in this type of environment, is crucial to getting you that job offer after graduation.
