Calling all Gatton Students! Are you curious about future job opportunities that your major may provide?
Or are you considering a major change, and want to know the career paths for your new major?
Then come to our Careers and Canes event!
Careers and Canes is an informational session about jobs and internships available to specific majors. There will be 3 employers and 2 interns, who are also students at the University of Kentucky, that will be sharing what their job entails and information about the companies they work for. They have first hand experience and tips about how to succeed in their job field, as well as answering any of your questions.
Our first session will be on Tuesday, February 23rd and it will cover Accounting professions. Notable companies attending include: DeanDorton, HCA Healthcare, and the CommonWealth of Kentucky.
The next session will focus on marketing majors, then finance, economics and finally management. All business majors will have their own specific sessions, each week up until March 23rd.
If you take part in our in-person option for this event you will leave with Canes, and Graham Gear! This will take place in Woodward Hall from 4 until 5:30PM. There is also a virtual option if you are unable to attend in person. All details about registration, dates and times can be found on Handshake or on our Instagram. The Graham Office highly encourages students to attend to get a better understanding of the opportunities available.
